I'll admit, I just love wandering aimlessly around the store. Looking at things that interest me, or are for the kids. I just love it! I kinda go into a trance. I pick lots of things up, and put lots back. I'm also always in search of some great clearance clothes for the kids. I refuse to pay full price for their clothes since I know they'll just ruin them anyway!!!! After wandering aimlessly for a while, I went to work going after the things I was actually there for!!
We have a baby shower this weekend for Todd's cousin, and I needed a few things more to put in her gift. I wound up going with a couple of funny onsies. She had a little boy in March, so I went with one that is white, and said "mommy and daddy's little alarm clock" and another that was blue, and said "built in sprinkler system!" I thought they were pretty cute! And they were only 2.50 a piece! Can't beat it!!!!

Next I started looking for some things to add to Dallas's birthday present. I've been wanting to get the kids all bigger piggy banks for a while. .. and I came up with a red one for Dallas, and a blue one for Gabe. Gabe's birthday isn't until July, but I got it now, so that I don't risk them being out by the time his birthday rolls around. As you can see from the picture, they're both blank on the sides, so I'm thinking I'll personalize them some how!!! I've got ones in mind for Kaleb and Kendyl too, for their birthdays, but we'll see!!!

And then while I was there, I noticed that their jersey knit bedding sets were on sale. And what really caught my attention was that they had a shark print. Gabe LOVES sharks. It looks like a camouflage, but its all sharks, and its blue, his favorite. So I added that to his birthday gift, and got Dallas a fun monkey print one. The monkeys are eating bananas, and playing. Its cute. The picture to the right is Dallas's. The kids have two sheet sets each. A summer knit one, and a flannel winter one. This will give them something for the in between and to use as back up for both seasons!!! I'm SO excited to be getting things off their birthday lists for them. And KILLER prices too! The boys sheet sets were only 15.00 each! Thats a really good price for them. It said normally 35. SO I was pretty happy with that deal!!! And I think I'm just about done with each of the boys birthday gifts now.
Dallas will have from us: A spider man beach towel (that the Easter bunny was supposed to bring the kids, but Kendyl found hers, and showed the boys, so I'm opting for birthday presents instead!), a snorkel and goggle set that he's been after for a while now, 2 go fish CD's, a piggy bank, and the sheet set. I know that sounds like a lot, but in all reality, I spent about 50.00 total for everything, and some of the things are things he NEEDS any way. . .
Gabriel will have from us: A bat man beach towel (again, from Easter!) a stuffed dronkey, and stuffed puss in boots from the movie shrek the third (he LOVES them, and i got them on clearance for 3.00 a piece!!!) , a piggy bank, and a sheet set. I think for him I'll just get him a movie to go with his, and everything will be pretty equal to what Dallas got. And yes, they DO keep track. No one seems to understand that for all intents and purposes they're just about twins, and yes, they really do need to get things the same to keep US sane! ITs what happens when they're only 14 months apart, and like the same things!!!
What else did I get. . .oh yeah! Food for the BBQ on Friday that we're doing with Matt and Sara (Todds brother, his wife, and their two kids!). We're going to have kabobs, seeing as we have this nifty new grill that we got last year at the end of the season, and we have kabob skewers that we've never used. I thought it would be a good night to give it a try!! We'll see! And I also picked up a six pack of cup cakes (Dora and Diego to be specific! can't tell who was shopping with me can ya!?!?!) for dessert tonight, as a treat for the kids!!!
So, there's my list of fun stuff! It was a BLAST and I haven't done it is so long! It too, helped to take steps towards getting rid of the Downy dumps that have been lurking around here!!!!
