Emotionally drained, potty training, and a picture update.

Somehow I don't feel that the two really truly mix well. But, we jumped in with both feet on potty training the twins. We've been waiting long enough for the weather to get warm so that we could train them without them freezing their butts off! We tend to prefer the bear bottom, or right to underwear technique. Neither mixes well with a Minnesota winter, and accidents. Now that there's some 50's and 60's in sight, we're off and running. We started last Friday, and so far, I'd have to say its going, ok. The first day Kendyl had two accidents, one potty, one messy. And they really seemed to be more of a test for mom. . .more of a "what will you do if I DO have an accident." And she did really well after that. Kaleb did really well all day Friday with no accidents at all. Saturday went really well too. Kaleb had one messy accident, but we're attributing that to the fact that it was explosive mess, and he couldn't help it. Kendyl had one wet accident, in the car, and that was TOTALLY my fault. We were on the road longer than I'd planned, and she just couldn't hold it. Today's been ok. No accidents as long as they're in the big kid undies. I put pull ups on them while they nap, and Kaleb messed his. But I'd have to say we're off to an ok start.

This is a picture of Kaleb last Friday. I just love it.
He looked like such a little man sitting there!
He just wanted to sit and read while going potty,
so I let him. Isn't it cute? He sat there, doing his business, and just kept telling me "this is so COOL!" He was pretty proud!!!!

And of course, Kendyl HAD to get in on the book fun!!!

Here's Kendyl, being a total cheese ball.

And they wouldn't be twins if we didn't have a cheesy Kaleb one too!

Here's my biggest boy. Giving a very fake smile for the camera, cause he'd MUCH rather be watching super why!

Here's the Gabey dude. This smile was caught in one of his smiling/giggling fits! He's so funny that way! The pictures that followed this one where him flexing his muscles. maybe if i get time later I'll put them in too!

The emotionally drained part. . .. I just feel so stressed lately. I know its house stuff, and all that's involved in that, but its just eating at my insides. There's way more to it, but I can't get into it for the time being. So I'll just leave it at the fact that potty training two two year olds while feeling.. .. stressed. . .isn't a very fun experience, but its all gotta get done!!!!!

OH! I hear you on stress! It's why I took some time off blogging (which is a mistake as it's how I vent. LOL) But, anyhoo...
Glad the potty training is going so well. I usually do the panties right away too. We started a bit with Em because she seems ready-ish, but I am waiting til summer & sundresses to really start.

The potty training here is going alright- not quite as easy as I had planned. We are using little potty seats instead of the big potty so that both can sit at the same time. I am not a fan of any kind of mess so we use EasyUps which are diapers essentially, just a lot easier for me to get them on/off of them. Seems like its going to be easier in the summer than in cooler weather too.

Love the DQ story- can't wait for those days!

You know that T has been pantsless for the last year and half while we work on potty training. V has been showing more interest the last few days so I'm easing her into it. It's not like twins at all, but at this rate Virgie and Delilah will both be trained before Treb.

I hear you on the stress stuff. Although today hasn't been so bad. Last night around 6 I was ready to run away though.
