Friday after school, Sara and I took all the kids to the park, and hung out until about 5:30. Then I took my day care girl home, and headed for Matt and Sara's. We made the kids a quick supper of corn dogs, and french fries, and then opted to order some better food for the adults!! We ordered the pizza hut Tuscani pasta's. We ordered one Alfredo, and one tomato. THEY. WERE. SO. GOOD! We were really surprised! Then we settled in to watch a couple of movies. We watched Kate and Leopold first. And then Planet of the Apes. We got home after 12:30 am, and headed right for bed.
Saturday the kids slept in, and around 10:00 Todd got up, and headed out to get a bunch of work done for other people that he had to do. The kids and I just kind of puttered around the house until about 11:00 when Sara called to see if we wanted to go to the park. So we headed to target quick for some lunchables, and then went to the park. Around 4:00 Todd called and said they were at our house, and a bon fire we thought was going to be just us and Matt and Sara, we were informed was going to be bigger!!! A couple that's friends of ours came over, then the guy from behind us came over. He was TRASHED. Lets just say he introduced himself to everyone as "Hi, I'm Rick the alcoholic." And he only got worse, and we couldn't get rid of him. He was the sore point in the night. Then the lady across the street came over with two of her 5 kids. They had a good time. They didn't realize our bon fires were this much fun! I think we'll be seeing them at another gathering in the future! And since they happen about 2 times a month, I think it will be good! We got cut short by rain, which wound up being ok, because Todd had church int he morning!
Sunday Todd headed for church, and the kids and I opted to stay home, and CLEAN UP! They were SO dirty!!! So we bathed all the kiddos, and got them dressed up, and after Todd got home from church, we headed out to my in laws. There were storms predicted, and MAN! We sure did get some storms! We had two separate hail storms, about 10-15 minutes each, with quarter size hail! Tornado sirens went off a few times, and three separate tornadoes touched down not far around us. The closest was about 10 minutes away. Pretty scary!!!
Monday we ALL slept in, and caught up on some sleep, and then went out shopping! We hit up KMart, and their camping sales, then went to Fleet farm to get some other camping gear that we'll be needing for our camping trips this summer! Our first will be the weekend of June 6-9th!!! I'm really looking forward to it!!!
I'll leave you with some pictures Sunday morning of my kiddos. They were all clean, all dressed nice, and the front yard looked PERFECT to have a picture taken. This is under our ornamental crab tree out front. It was in full bloom until the storms came and blew 99% of the blooms off! But look at them scattered all around the kids! Isn't it perfect???
They're a pretty good looking group of kids if I do say so myself!

I wish we could go camping!! But, with a hubby who's MIA, it is kinda hard. So have double fun - enough for both of us!!
LOVE LOVE the pictures!! And Kaleb looks so incredibly old in the group photo. Seriously, he looks MAN-ish :) (did I go and depress you now??)
We've got to catch up - now I have questions for you!!
Jamie, those pictures are gorgeous! I was wondering what kind of tree that was and now I want one! Kendyl's braids are SERIOUSLY cute! We still have stubby pigtails or curly locks over here.
Your weekend sounded so fun, I have to get my disastrous duo out to the park, but I keep thinking we have to "get" the slides first!
Sad to see those petals drop from the trees - but they did make for a great backdrop!! Glad you had such a good weekend!
