Could you guys please pray for my dad's step brother Alan? He was in a motorcycle accident today. We don't know all the details yet. My grandma called my dad briefly as they were getting some dinner before they headed back to the hospital. My dads parents were divorced when he was really young, and my step grandpa, and his kids have always just been family, not step family. So this is hitting hard.
All we know is that he is pretty broken up. He has a broken pelvis, and many many broken bones. Hes been there since this morning, and the orthopedic surgeons still don't know what to do with him yet.
Your prayers would be greatly appreciated.
This is hitting really hard for me. And I know this will sound weird, but every time my dad calls me with that tone I worry that its my brother. My brother has idiopathic cardiomyopathy with tachicardia. And he could literally pass away any second, without warning. So when my dad called with that little hitch in the voice, I held my breath. I'm just terrified that one of these times it will be him. And this will sound really sad to say but I was almost relieved. Relieved it wasn't him. I'm still very worried about my uncle. And am very upset that this happened to him, but it sounds like he'll be ok, just a long road to recovery ahead.

OH NO! I'm praying for your family. Esp for Alan! That is horrible and soo scary! Please keep us updated!

So sorry to hear about your uncle! Will surely say a prayer for him tonight!
*shudder* I know a lot people think motorcycles are really cool, but I'm not one of them. My dad had one when I was little. He used to take my brothers on rides all the time (they are quite a bit older than me) but my mom would never let him take me more than a spin on the grass (and we didn't have a big yard). When my brother was in high school, they (dad and bro) got into a bad accident. Amazingly, by the grace of God, no serious injuries, but getting hit and flying over a car and landing in the road is not just a bump or scratch. I'm glad my hubby is not into them and sure hope my son never is either!!
I will say a prayer for your Uncle and one for your brother. Let us know how things go.,
