Do you know whats NOT fun to do on a 90 degree day???

That would be GROCERY SHOPPING!!! I hate grocery shopping with four kids in toe to begin with, but when its this hot, things just get even worse. None of us want to spend the time outside to get INTO the store, let alone how quickly I get irritated because they're going SO. STINKING. SLOW. getting IN the car, and all I want to do is shove them in, so that I can load the groceries in, and then get in and cool off again.

Oh, and what's even worse than that? When it isn't just to one store that you have to go to. Nope. Its worse when you have to go to the gas station, only to find out that they won't let you fill up because not enough time has lapsed since your husband used the same debit card at their store, and their worried its theft, then to bank, then to cost co. Then to the cost co food mart to feed four starving whining hungry children before you lose your mind listening to the complaining, Then to the cost co gas station to get the gas that was denied earlier, THEN to target to get WIC supplies, and to get other necessities. Only to hear whining all through THAT store because its almost time for school, and they need every single gadget that they see because "so and so down the street" MIGHT have it, and it would be cool to have one like them.

And THEN, you get to come home and unload all the crap that you've purchased, shoved in every crack and crevice in the car (while pushing it in with your foot and slamming the door before things can fall out again!) again in said 90 degree heat. And you're CERTAIN its hotter than that because its all in direct sun light.

And after all that, what would you want to do? Lay down on your bed, cool off, and take a nap right?? Yeah .... nope. Off to the new house to work on more things since we have NO ONE helping us that said they would.

Yep. So not in the mood for it all today, can ya tell??? Maybe if the weather weren't so hot, but then again, probably not!!!

I barely manage through the stores with just the TWO kids! I'd never make it with four.

We have a really bad habit of not noticing we're out of milk til, well, we're TOTALLY out of milk. I actually like taking them out since we don't play outside much due to Ryan's eczema (super sensitive to heat), so its usually not too terrible. But, today, they didn't want to leave the lobster tank. So both kids yelled the rest of the way through the store and then going out to the car it feels so darn hot! I think direct sunlight is super stinkin hot!!

When do you actually start living in the new house or is it just whenever everything is ready?

OH YUCK! I hear you on taking kids out to stores. I don't know how you can do more than one store.we do one and i've had enough. Esp target, where the kids face each other and always get into it(fighting, hitting and biting). I'd love to know who made up the cute little buggies that have kids FACING each other? Shouldn't they be facing the opposite ways...considering kids fight so much! LOL! Or better yet, a big ole buggy where you throw all the groceries in the middle and the kids facing out hanging off of each side! LOL! I'm totally picturing it now.

Ok, totally enough rambling.

Hope it cools off soon for ya'll! It's burning up hot down here too! I have to take a shower a few times a day b/c i stink soo bad if i'm outside for more than 5 minutes! :)

Brianne, we're planning on waiting until a majority of the work is done so that we can realistically move in. . .Maybe I'll post a copy of the plans today.

Oh hell no. LOL I don't usually go to more than one store if I have all 5 with me. I'm still excited that last friday went so well at WalMart with all 5 of them and doing the dreaded school supplies shopping.
My boys were so overly helpful that day, I bought them a soda AND candy in the check out line. The sugar fest was totally worth how helpful they are.

Now, you want to talk about me taking ONLY the three boys out last Tues. for school clothes shopping? Totally different story. It was RIDICULOUS!

And I hear you on the hot thing. You should see what our weather's been like lately. Not much sun, loooooooots of rain and chilly, like a you-know-what.
