Today was Kaleb and Kendyl's preschool screening.

During Kaleb and Kendyl's three year well check in July, I was prompted to speak to the school about their speech. They would like to see 75% of all speech be understood by others by the age of three. This is not the case for Kaleb and Kendyl. I was told "contact the school, and they'll help you out." So I did. And I was told that before the speech therapist would speak to me I would first have to have them screened. Well, today was that day. They originally wanted me to just have their speech done today, and then come back for all the other screening in January when they were a little older. They are considered "new three" and they figured they wouldn't get everything done today.

They took them in for their speech screen, and there I sat. Talking to all the preschool teachers and directors that had had Gabe just a few short years ago. I know all these ladies fairly well, so it was fun! Then, out walks Kaleb with his "teacher". She said "do you have time today?" I told her that my boys were out at 11:50 (gotta love early release day!) but other than that I was free, why? She informed me that the twins were doing SO well, and were SO cooperative that they thought they could do ALL the screening today! I was so proud of them! They were NOT expecting them to be that way! They were expecting typical new three's, who fight with it, and don't want to do things! But they did AWESOME!!!!

At the end, it did turn out that they are going to refer us on to the speech therapist for her to evaluate them and see what needs to be done. But we now don't have to go in January for another screening, because they were SUCH big kids!!! I'm so proud!!

I had to take "school" pictures of them today. They were feeling slightly left out, since the boys got theirs yesterday and they were "going to school today". So we took a couple pictures of them this morning that we'll send out along with the boys' school pictures!!!

Here they are! My big three year olds!!!
