A case of the Monday blah's.

Don't know what it is, but I have a major case of the Monday blah's today. Well, I guess I can't say I DON'T know what it is, because I have a pretty darn good idea of what's causing it. And its this nasty Minnesota weather. It was FIFTY degree's yesterday. Fifty. And today? Oh yeah, that's right, they're saying we're looking at 6-10 inches of snow on the last day of March. Doesn't that sound like heaps of fun? Yeah, not to me either. I guess maybe it wouldn't be SO bad, if i didn't have to go out in it to pick the kids up at 3:00, then hang out in my car, while it continues to come down, while we wait the 30 minutes to get Gabe.

Which, you know, now that I'm already in a pretty crummy mood, I must say STINKS. Who's brilliant idea was it to not only have the kindergartners start 45 minutes after the rest of the school, but to also release 30 minutes after them. It makes life really difficult for those of us who have a kid in kindergarten, and then a kid in the other grades. Because you can't go home, and wait, because you'd pretty much have to turn around and go right back up to the school, and you can't take the kindergartner home early, because you'd have to go in and sign them out each day, and they'd miss the last half an hour of the day EVERY day. Nope, can't do that. So, instead I could my lucky stars that we bought a conversion van. Or as its been so affectionately dubbed by friends and family: "the house on wheels". The kids usually hang out in there and watch a movie or something of that nature while we wait. Just a few more months though, and that will be done. The boys will both be in the older grades that don't have that time restriction thing.

Its amazing to me just how much the blah's carry over into. When the blah's hit I don't want to clean, I don't want to cook, I don't want to do anything except crawl back in bed, and take a nice long nap. I know I can't, but the thought sure is nice. Just thinking about what I might have to make for dinner is ugh. I don't know what to make. Nothing sounds good, and all i see when I open the pantry and freezer to look are the same old things that are always there. I'm not in a creative mood, so experimenting is right out for the time being. And its really hard to cook ANYTHING when NOTHING sounds good.

blah, blah, blah.

Just about time to get the rug rats from school.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I know what you mean. I'm on a mission to get myself out of the slump I've been in since we were all sick a few weeks ago.

And I've always agreed. It's sheer idiocy that they start the K's after the rest of the school. Makes no sense.

I hear you on the blah's....!

I'm feeling so creative that its a leftover night. I'm too scared to eat.... and there's not enough for Phil. He can cook for himself ;)

We're not out of school till June 11th. Suck city. Then we turn around, and are right into the surgery, and all surgery related things, and oh yeah, we can't forget the lovely house stuff.

sorry, bit by the pessimist bug today.

Hi Jamie!

I HATE the monday blah's! Maybe that is why i never really liked Sunday's...because it rolls into Monday! LOL! I just finished reading your blog...your doing a great job! You children and family are precious! We are also done with kidos..but i Don't want more! :) My hubby got fixed b/c my dr. wouldn't fix me right away!

I'm sorry that the weather is so yucky there. I think there are LOTS of people with blogs up north..not may down south. We are in Houston, TX and the weather today was SOOO hot we could only stay outside for 30 or 45 minutes! So, in all reality it's just as bad...just opposite side of the todum pole! :)

Blogs are really fun..and really help me relieve some stress...i think one day i'll end up printing mine up for my girls to read...it's kinda like my internet baby book since i'm NOT good at all at doing a real baby book!

Have a better Tuesday!

UGH! I hate the blahs! I get them all the time, but usually on Wednesday and then I can't cook dinner...UGH! (and Wednesday is the day I need to get 4 of the kids to church by 6pm...not a good day to have the blahs!)
Hope tomorrow picks up a bit for you.
PS As soon as my hubby gets back on a real payroll, we are trading our 15 passenger "sexy" van in for a conversion van. YEAH!
