Five People I Am Tagging
I'm leaving this part out, because I've tagged a lot of people lately!! If you want to play, please feel free!!!
My second tag comes from Barbara at A tale of two twinkies .
This one is about the things I do, and do not value. And since planning to put it up yesterday, I've been thinking alot about it!!! It really is easier said than done, putting your values out there in writing! But I'll try my best!!!
Things I Value
1. GOD!!! - I have come to a point in my life, where I look at all my blessings, like my children. I was told that I may not ever have children, because of the procedure when I was born. Yet, he's blessed me with four beautiful children that I am SO thankful to have. I value him, and the plans he has for my life. No matter how hard the times, and how much I cry out for him to just show me what he has in store so that the struggles will end, I know he's there, he has a plan, and it will all be ok.
2. My husband- I honestly would be lost in this world without him. He's my best friend, my soul mate, my everything. I love him more than words can say. I value the love we have, and the things we've shared, and I look forward to the memories yet to come.
3. My children- My wonderful amazing children. Each one is a gift in their own way. With their own unique talents, personalities, loves, desires, and even their own values. I value the fact that I am their mommy, and that I get to be the one to raise them into wonderful loving caring adults. It is a blessing.
4. A roof over our heads- It might not seem like a big deal to some, but when financial hard times hit it really can open your eyes to know what a valuable thing it is just to have a roof over your head. Its a place to come home to, a place to make memories, and aplace to lay our heads down at night. And its something so valuable, something I will never again take for granted.
5. Our Health- Relatively speaking, we're pretty healthy. Sure, we have our ups and downs though cold and flu season. But all in all we're healthy and for that I am so thankful!!! I've gotten off pretty easy as far as the "big" things go. Just one hernia, one cataract (oddly enough on the same kid!) and RSV that probably gave one asthma. But beyond that we're healthy.
6. My computer- This might seem like an odd one for some, but my computer is my porthole to the outside world. It is my way to interact with other moms, look up recipes, keep in touch with family far away, send pictures, receive mail, shop, play games, the list could go on and on. Its a hunk of metal with a screen, but it really is valuable to me. Its the magic box that holds many things most precious to me. My pictures, and my wonderful on line friends!!!
Things I do not value
1. Money- Ever notice how it really does seem to be the root of all evil? There is never enough to go around, and sometimes that comes at the high price of not being able to afford things like food, a house, etc. I think way too many people put way too much value in it. Not me. If I could go without it, I would.
2. Moochers- Nothing bothers me more than people who could be making their own way, NOT making their own way, and mooching off of others. I know a few people like that, and they really make me sad. Its one thing if you're trying your best to make your own way and need help. Its another to be lazy, and just expect others to pick up the slack.
3. People who say they are your friend, but really they only want something from you- I've come to a point in my life where I realize that if someone is truly my friend, they will be there for me, just as I am for them. No matter what the circumstance, situation, etc. I'm a very loyal friend and I've come to realize I don't have time for people who only want to be friends "when its convenient" or "when they want something".
4. People who mistreat my children. I have the WORST mama bear syndrome. And if you're an adult and you've done something that upsets my child, WATCH OUT. Seriously. I'm not usually a person for confrontation. But if you do something to upset my child, and there is NO cause for it, I WILL be contacting you, and you WILL be hearing my mind. Nothing bothers me more than adults who have a need to make themselves feel bigger or in more power by cutting down a child.
5. People who judge. Now, I realize we're all guilty of having judged someone at some time in life. I would be lying to say that I hadn't. but I try REALLY REALLY hard not to. It bothers me so much when people judge the book by its cover and never go past that. Like all those people who judge me out in public (some out loud, some with dirty looks) for being out with my four kids. They could be behaving really well, but the SECOND one cries or fusses, those looks start. Moms with big families know what I'm talking about. And those looks and comments bother me. You have NO clue what kind of a day that parent has had, or what the story is with the kids. Don't judge on the first look. Put yourself in their shoes, and see how you would feel.
With that being said, I must tag 5 others to share their own values:

Glad you played along!
Great list Jamie! Glad you were tagged for the value meme too! LOVE your list of values. I find the not value lists so interesting. I think what people do value tends to be a no brainer, but those things we don't value are fascinating.
FANTASTIC answers!
It was interesting reading about your values. I did this meme recently too. Very thought provoking.
